Rotation questions, answered.
US Residency Match offers hands-on, hospital-based clinical rotations in the USA. You train with Chairmen, Heads and Chiefs of Departments at university-affiliated hospitals.
Our rotations are hands-on, which program directors strongly prefer. Medical students in their 3rd to final year join as an elective, and graduates join the same rotations as an observership.
Rotations are typically one month long. You can book more than one rotation if you want more US clinical experience and more letters.
No. The $200 deposit is non-refundable. It reserves your spot and is counted toward your total rotation fee. The full fee is due 1 month before your start date, and there is no refund if you cancel within 4 weeks of the start date.
Yes, upon successful completion of your rotation. LORs are issued on hospital or university-affiliated letterhead by the Chairman, Head or Chief of Department who supervised you.
Yes. Your visa invitation letter is free and delivered in 3-5 business days, and we offer visa interview preparation too.
An ERAS application that gets you interviews.
Your rotations earn the letters. We help you turn everything else (your CV, personal statement, program list and interviews) into a residency match.

ERAS questions, answered.
The Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), run by the AAMC, is how you apply to most US residency programs. You build your application in MyERAS and send it, with your documents and letters, to the programs you choose.
MyERAS opens in early June, you can submit to programs in early September, and programs start reviewing applications in late September. Interviews run from October to January, and Match Day is in March.
Yes. Many programs prefer or require US clinical experience, and letters from US physicians who supervised you are among the strongest parts of an IMG application.
Yes. We help you build a rank order list in the order you truly prefer, based on fit and your chances, not on guesses about how programs ranked you.

USMLE questions, answered.
No. Step 1 has been reported as pass or fail since January 2022. Step 2 CK still has a three-digit score, so programs look at it closely.
The minimum passing score is 218, raised from 214 in July 2025. Programs often look for scores well above passing, so set your target with your specialty in mind.
It is not required to match. Passing Step 3 before the Match can help IMGs show they are ready, and it is usually needed if you want an H-1B visa for residency.
Most students need 2 to 6 months of focused study, depending on their starting point. We begin with a diagnostic test and build a schedule around your exam date.

As early as your first year of college. Early planning helps with course selection, grades and building clinical and research experience, but it's never too late to get a plan.
Yes. We guide you through AMCAS (MD) and AACOMAS (DO) applications, secondary essays and interviews.
Some schools accept international applicants, but fewer do. We help you find the schools that do and plan around their requirements.

US conferences to submit to
Abstract deadlines at major US medical conferences from now through 2027. Pick a conference and apply for mentorship, and we'll plan your project around its deadline.
Questions, answered.
No one honestly can. Every conference and journal peer-reviews what it receives. We help you build a strong project, follow each conference's rules exactly, and choose conferences and journals that fit your work.
Yes. Many students begin with a case report, which makes a great first project. We guide you through every step.
The earlier the better, ideally 6-8 weeks before the abstract deadline, so there is time to gather information, write and revise.
Most US conferences ask at least one author to present in person, and some offer an e-poster option. We check each conference's rules with you before you submit.
